Come, sit. is one of the first public projects of The Elidi Foundation. The aim of Come, Sit is to share meaningful stories about unexpected places — specifically park benches overlooking the most magical of landscapes.

A bench is a public space for all that is safe and welcoming. It encourages reflection, conversation, rest.

Its a gentle and generous gesture to the public. A gift for all who might need a moment of respite. That’s why Elidi has chosen to name this project, “Come, sit” as it is the whisper of an old friendly bench to those that pass by.

Almost every bench has a story to tell, but they are often a mystery to the people who sit there. Simply put, they are hidden stories living in plain sight. We at The Foundation, are uncovering the most fascinating of these stories in order to share their inspired messages with those curious to take a deeper look.

In order to echo our mission, we would like to focus on messages of people that made the world a more fair, just or meaningful place, big ways or small.

In what will eventually be a book, with a map, and a journey…
